there are some things i really do not like about yelp.
i do like the fact that yelp can point me in the direction of good things, from time to time.
i do not like the fact that there is so much of *this* garbage on there:
"Went here for lunch today. Having lived for some time in the DC area which has a LOT of Vietnamese immigrants, I've had my share of Banh Mi. This is not bad, but not the best I've ever had like Drake/Vertical Horizon.
It's a small joint, and you order at the counter. I got the Classic sandwich which had ham, pate, mayo and pickled carrots and cilantro with the jalepenos. $5 and a can of soda for $1.
The sandwich was good- bread was awesomely typical of banh mi with the crusty outside and the soft interior. The French were in Vietnam for decades and the Vietnamese learned how to make a baguette like nobody's bidness.
I throw some sriracha on my sammiches when I'm having banh mi, cause I like it hot, hot, hot and I was pleased to see my old buddy sitting there on my table waiting for me.
They deliver which is great because I live a few blocks away and it could be mad crowded at lunch with only a few table to sit at and brisk business.
I would go here again, 100%. They also serve other Vietnamese specialities, such as the bestdamnsoupintheworldmadeofleftovercowparts...Pho ...which is pronounced Fuh as in "Fuh You!" and not Fo as in "I got Fo dollas!".
When I go back and grub on those other menu items, I will add them to the review.
Banh mi is a great change of pace from the typical sammich, and this is the place in Cobble/Boerum Hill to get you some."
dude, shut the fuck up.
boldface = mine.
