sweetest plant from the sweetest man.

do you know that i cannot think of one SO of mine who has ever given me a plant? flowers, yes, but never, as far as i can recall, a plant. they've all been wonderful, generous people, but i do think that's kind of odd given that i've always sort of... enjoyed plants so much. i've put in 3 different gardens in 3 different schools, had container gardens in 3 apartments, desperately wanted to put in gardens in at least 2 other apartments, covered my classroom in plants and used to give my mother a plant on every birthday, anniversary and holiday pretty much since middle school at occasionally earlier. but this is the first time anyone besides michelle or the international boy (non-SO) has given me something to repot.
